Cheer & All-Star Cheer Squads

Cheerleaders Are Amazing Athletes!

Cheerleading has developed into a challenging and exciting sport with many of the same benefits of gymnastics and dance, plus a unique team element.  It is a tremendous experience for kids to make new friends, be a part of the team, and to enhance valuable life skills.

GAGE is proud to have DaShaun Carter as the All-Star Director. He has an extensive background in the field of cheer as an athlete, choreographer, coach and judge since 1995.  In addition, our entire coaching staff is experienced, certified, and committed to excellence.  It is our mission to create the strongest cheer athletes and the most successful teams in the KC Metro area.

GAGE Cheer has opportunities for all ages and abilities.  Choose from basic cheer classes, recreational, or All-Star Cheer teams.  Specialty classes are offered periodically throughout the year.

Dragon All-Star Cheer Squads: All-Star cheerleading has evolved into one of the most exciting, fast-paced and strenuous sports scored by a panel of judges in the world.  The sport is broken down into competitive levels by age and ability.  All teams at GAGE are built based upon placing each team in position to score as high as possible in competition.  Each team must be able to stunt, jump, tumble, and dance at a level that will enable them to maximize the score sheet.  GAGE Dragon All-Star Cheerleading evaluations are held each year in the spring in order to appropriately place athletes according to their individual strengths and abilities.  Summer season is spent working to level appropriate skill development, technique, synchronization and choreography.  Additional members may be added through early fall to maximize the team.  Competition season runs from November through April.  Teams attend 5-7 competitions per year. Competitive teams are available for ages 3-18 years.

If interested in being evaluated for an All-Star Team, please email cheer@gagecenter.com.

Dragon Recreational Teams: No experience required.  Recreational cheerleading is designed to teach level 1-2 skills necessary for an athlete to move into competitive or school cheerleading.  Using a curriculum format for learning and reviewing skills while providing a unified team atmosphere. Teams are available for all ages and abilities.  These teams will perform around the KC area.

Special Needs Squad: This squad is developed for any individual wishing to experience cheerleading competition.  Team Sparks exhibitions around the KC area.  We have a ratio of 1 coach to each student participating.
