This recreational competitive team is a perfect program to introduce the young gymnast to the fun of competition.  Classes will focus on the AAU gymnastics levels 2 & 3. The gymnasts will have the opportunity to compete at the GAGE AAU meets held throughout the year.  The Jr. Silver Dragons lead into our AAU Silver Dragon Level 4 & up competitive team.

What is AAU: The Amateur Athletic Union is a national organization dedicated to the promotion and development of amateur sports.  AAU Gymnastics provides the opportunity for participants to learn the fundamentals of each apparatus.  Competition is divided by the athlete's age and skill levels.  Competitors can compete on the local, state, and national level.

Who can join the Silver Dragon Team:  Any girl age 5 and up my join the Jr. Silver Dragon Level 2 team.  Level 3 is by invitation only.  Jr. Silver Dragons train two or four
hours per week determined by the training level.  This a great opportunity for those who started gymnastics at an older age but have surpassed the recreational level classes, gymnasts who are interested in more than recreational gymnastics, and those who aren't willing to commit to gymnastics as their only sport by love competing.

Requirements:  Silver Dragon competitive leotard (purchased through the Dragon Den Proshop), participate in the AAU Meets held throughout the year at GAGE.
